Well, despite way too much time spent with little to show for it, JustBeth (the blog) is back from the dead! (Still working on it, so please pardon any wonkiness you might encounter!) Having said that, I would really love to have some fresh new projects to show you, but I basically have nothing. My craft supplies were deemed “clutter” by my Realtor. *gasp* I did manage this before my bubble was unceremoniously obliterated, which was intended to be part of a project for SISC7. Remember the turquoise and orange colors? That was some kickass inspiration there! I paired up the kids, Loder? Rota? (I was going to say they go together like Brangelina and, well, are there any famous couples that are still together?!) Of course I had to add a little something to them – I was in a devilish mood.  This is, of course, Lita & Roder. I love these two. Eventually, I’d be thrilled to be able to complete this project – I love the colors that the Photo Inspiration Tonya chose inspired! Confession – I don’t even know when the last time I used orange was! These two rocked it, though. LOL Please… allow your mind to imagine a fabulous project encasing the cuties. (Cue the Zen music) Next time, I won’t make you work so hard for it!   Also – Speaking of the incredible Tonya, she has teamed up with Mystic artist Concetta Kilmer to create her Darque Obsession collections. As a bona fide Obsessor, I can attest to the coolness of these, uh, bad boys. (Sorry! You’ll get used to my bad puns – maybe. Or not.) OOH! The iPhone in all its misery saves the day – sort of. I have a couple of other WIPs… (works in progress, for those of you who don’t read my lazy typing! LOL) But hey, it shows that I have been at least slightly productive on the hobby front over the last couple of months! Okay – so I technically did these a long time ago, but let’s not nitpick… I should rename the post title to Resurrection and REDEMPTION!

 Ok! Jumping on another vampire fandom challenge bandwagon! This one A TrueBlood Challenge, and is based on True Blood, the HBO series (which kicks ass, by the way) and if you haven’t caught it yet, you are seriously missing out!!! This challenge asks us to express our allegiance between the two main, male vampire characters in the story – Bill or Eric? Well, duh! I don’t even need to answer that one! But I will… see, TV Eric, is glorious! I have SUCH a fricking crush on Alex Skarsgard. Even before TB. I just have a massive weakness for Swedes. Can’t explain it – just always been. And Eric is a Viking – so that should win him some points with me, right? Sorry – I just love Bill. I love how he loves Sookie, truly, madly deeply… sometimes awkwardly. His heart is so pure and I just love that. Eric is a schemer – gorgeous, but he’s always looking out for #1. And Stephen Moyer is easy to gawk at, too – and he has such a lyrical (and fake! He’s a Brit!!) accent and – yeah. I really should shut it now. I’m gushing… but, geez! You asked!! Anyway, here is my Team Bill project:

 Oh, joy! My first post in my new blog! Since I am still working on the site, I will ask that you be kind, and ignore the wonkiness that is going on! Gah!
This is a digi project I did for Twilight Tuesday‘s FANdom Friday challenge - and of course, it is another of my beloved Brothers, Butch O’Neal. As always, I have very strong feelings for these charactgers, and Butch is no exception. He is a human among vampire warriors, but he strangely fits in with them. He finds a sense of belonging in the testosterone filled mansion that the Brothers reside in – in particular, meeting a BFF that can almost be called a soul mate, in Vishous. I really don’t want to give away the story – as always, JR Ward weaves an intense, intriguing and delicious story that – like all the others – will stick with you long after you read it.
If you haven’t read this series, I highly suggest it – beginning with Dark Lover. Awesome read!!

In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there’s a deadly war raging between vampires and their slayers. And there exists a secret band of brothers like no other – six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Of these, Zsadist is the most terrifying member of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. www.JRWard.com
Zsadist’s story is told in the third Black Dagger Brotherhood book, Lover Awakened. Z is easily the most hardened of the Black Dagger Brothers. After being kidnapped from his crib, and his family (including his twin brother Phury) as an infant and sold into blood slavery, his life was irretrievably altered and his soul seemingly damaged beyond repair. Enter Bella. This is an incredibly intense story ~ and one that will run your emotions through the full spectrum.
 These books are so good – and one perfect example is the character of Zsadist. He is the perfect dichotomy. He is pure hate, and he is pure love. He is pure malevolence and pure gentleness. One of my very favorite lines in the Black Dagger Brotherhood novel, Lover Awakened is this: “The scarred, soulless one had the voice of an angel.” The perfect dichotomy. I have never come across a character quite as flawed, or ‘ruined’ as Z is, which makes for his personal redemption – to himself – to be so stunning. This is a fantastic story, in a long line of great BDB stories.
Z should have a huge scar down his face, and ‘slave bands’ tattooed around his neck. I imagine Z to look like this – although I also suspect this would be his ‘happy face’!
I could spend HOURS telling you about Zsadist, but I won’t. I will just wholeheartedly tell you to read these books, starting with Dark Lover, and by the time you get to Z, you will have such a strong opinion of him that this novel will take your breath away, make you cry and make you laugh. It is very intense. One of my very favorite guilty pleasures of all time. Instead, I will tell you a little bit about the card. Z is very simple. He hates himself and lives in utter darkness and isolation. He also has citrine colored eyes, which is where the yellow came from. I wish I were better with photoshop, because I think that the citrine colored eyes would be the perfect touch here. (I had planned to use another photo, with the correct eye color, but it didn’t work as well. Bum deal!)
